JOB VACANCY FOR PROGRAM OFFICERCommunity Health Initiative for Youth in Nigeria (CHIYN) is a non-profit organization that promotes social-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. CHIYN is currently implementing with Heartland Alliance Nigeria in Niger State Nigeria in providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS and other STIs treatment to ensure past successes/achievements on HIV/AIDS programming in the state is sustained. and refer clients to the OSS for HIV/AIDS and STIs services.We are recruiting to fill the position below:Job Title: PROGRAM OFFICERLocation: Minna, Niger State• Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical and management support to the design, implementation and monitoring of projects activities in close collaboration with partners, government and key opinion leaders of the Key populations.Assist in the development and monitoring of project costed work plans and budgets.Identify and propose staff capacity development and training.Undertake data collection and analysis and provide technical support to align with deliverables, donors’ requirements and key projects intervention strategies.Develop and monitor projects tasks and activities with project goals in line with approved work plans and standards for high quality.Contribute to new business development and proposal writing.Ensure compliance with donor requirement in the implementation of projects.Provide technical support in the identifying, collaborating and forming partnerships with key institutional partners in the mission of the Council.Liaise with the Country office and partners on overall requirements as projected within approved work plans.Liaise with the State team Lead on how best to manage the OSS.To perform other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor as may be deemed necessary.Qualification and Requirement• tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent competency; project management certification will be an added advantage.• Demonstrated highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills specific to client consultation and liaison, including experience in public speaking.• Demonstrated highly developed organizational skills, particularly the ability to coordinate large scale events.• Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spread sheets, databases, email and social media.• Highly developed ability to work independently as part of a team, set priorities and meet deadlines.• Maintain confidentiality for sensitive issues on project and use good judgement and decision making to execute duties and responsibilities.• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in programming role, implementing for Non-Governmental Organizational Project.• Must reside in Minna, Niger state.• Must be a member of the Key population.Method of application:Interested and Qualified candidates should forward a suitability statement (application) and resume (CV) with the title of “Program Officer” as the subject of the mail in word or PDF format to chiyn2016@gmail.com.Application closes on Friday 26th January 2023.Only applications sent electronically (i.e. by e-mail) with the job title clearly indicated as the subject of the mail will be considered and only short-listed candidates will be contacted.CHIYN is an Equal
