Today we celebrate and reflect on the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This of course includes women who are lesbians, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer

It is also a collective call to action for accelerating gender equality in all areas of life.

It is an opportunity to hear from lesbians, bi women and trans persons who have historically been silenced, with the prime purpose of promoting unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action.
