CHIYN’s participation in the Niger State HTM focused climate and health vulnerability assessment (CHVA) and adaptation plan validation workshop. This workshop which was led by the Niger State ministry of Health with support from Global fund and Catholic Relieve Service and hosted by Oxford policy management, reviewed and validated the findings of the Niger State HTM focused CHVA, including climate hazards, exposure and vulnerability and implications for HIV, tuberculosis and malaria services.
It also reviewed the state’s existing capacities and health system resilience to climate related risks , identified gaps and opportunities for strengthening preparedness and service continuity. In addition, it reviewed the state’s future climate health risks and validated proposed adaptation priorities, actions, responsibilities and implementation roadmap.
